140 Grand in Croton-On-Hudson

The strip of Grand Street where it meets Old Post Rd. is great spot with cafe’s, pizza, restaurants, craft beer and this place, “140 Grand.”

140 Grand is a nice little bar and grill serving up some great meat dishes!  There are two salads on the menu as well.  Go here for the meat.

The bar isn’t very long, but the service has been good on a couple of visits.  This is a local spot so you’ll be chatting with the neighbors as you down your pint and feast on the pulled pork nachos, which are SO damn good.  And this was dinner, so I also went with the pulled pork sandwich.  Can you say, “oink”? After the nachos, there was no way I was going to finish the sandwich, so I had the other half for lunch the next day.  oofah!

Take a good look at those burgers.  One is a peanut butter burger.  I was too afraid, but if you get it and leave a review, I’ll meet you here and buy you a beer!

Their old logo, while certainly outdated, tells the story.  Pegasus Pig! umm?

The bar has about 10-12 stools, and as mentioned, the service was good.  There are a couple of screens to watch the games. Typical beers are available with a not so run of the mill local craft beers available for good measure.  It’s a pretty decent selection.  There’s also a pretty original cocktail menu so if you’re into drinks in something other than a can, try the Bee’s Knees!

So, my agenda is to go back and get better pictures of the bar and food.  I will be getting the pulled pork nachos again, so I will get pics of that as well.
