Buffalo Wild Wings in White Plains
I left with a feeling of, eh.
You expect a great sports bar when thinking B-Dubs and it is a sportsbar, but it isn’t a great one.
The coolest thing about this B-Dubs is that it’s inside an old bank and the vault is still there. Check it out:
Otherwise, meh.
B-Dubs the Sportsbar
There are a good amount of screens, but in a place of this size you really do expect one really large screen with the biggest game of the day or maybe the Superbowl, showing on it but what they have is a large number of what appear to be 50 inch or so screens. So yeah, every game is on, but they aren’t all convenient to watch.
Outside of sports and the vault, you come here for the wings and the sauce options don’t disappoint but the wings themselves are very average. I guess they call themselves Buffalo Wild Wings for the “wild” variety? The wings themselves are of very average size and cooked fine. Bring some people and try a bunch so you can share. That’s what we did!
The Wings at B-Dubs
I want you to know that I didn’t “chicken” out. (See what I did there?) I got the hottest ones on the menu, the “Blazin Knockout.” Oh they were hot alright but I’ve had hotter. Try the Atomic Sauce at Valhalla Crossing if you want your hot sauce to make you cry.
Traditional Wing Sauces:
- Buffalo
- Honey BBQ
- Asian Zing
- Caribbean Jerk
- Lemon Pepper
- Garlic Parmesan
- Medium
- Hot
- Mango Habanero
- Wild
- Blazin’ (the hottest option)
Boneless Wing Sauces:
- Sweet BBQ
- Teriyaki
- Bourbon Honey Mustard
- Mild
- Parmesan Garlic
- Medium
- Hot
- Mango Habanero
- Wild
- Blazin’
Buffalo Wild Wings also occasionally introduces limited-time flavors and regional specialties, so the menu can vary. It’s always a good idea to check their website or contact your local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant for the most up-to-date menu offerings.
B-dubs boasts 26 sauces and dry rubs on their website and menu so there is something for everyone, even the whimps. ;-)
Buffalo Wild Wings Menu
The menu also features burgers and fingers, a couple salads, etc. Your average bar food. They have a solid number of beer taps and that is a plus. There is nothing too crazy but they’ve got the local brews plus all your game watching favs.
The Service
We didn’t get very good service on our visit. They were slow and forgetful. Not horrible but not awesome. I asked three times befor they put the Rangers game on. sigh.
Here’s another shot of the interior. Very bank-ish, right?
Oh, another drawback is parking. There is metered street parking if you’re lucky enough to find it. Otherwise, there is a parking lot attached to the White Plains City Center mall but you then have to walk a bit. There are other lots as well. All paid and all a little bit of a walk.
So, really, I probably wont be back unless I happened to be there and was dying for some wings. There are plenty of other places in the area for beer and wings though like Ron Blacks or Wolf&Warrior. And there are better places to watch sports also. If the game was my priority I might even consider Dave and Busters in Pelham though the service was NOT good. Demeters is always solid.
Another Opinion on Buffalo Wild Wings
Lastly, here is what my dear friend Bard has to say about B-Dubs though I can assure they haven’t been in person:
The Buffalo Wild Wings in White Plains, located at 1 Mamaroneck Ave, seems like a popular spot for wings, beer, and sports! Here’s what I found out about it:
Food:
- Wings: The main attraction! They offer traditional and boneless wings in over 26 sauces and seasonings, from mild to scorching. Beyond wings, they also have burgers, wraps, salads, and other appetizers.
- Reviews: Reviews mention generous portion sizes and tasty wings, especially the classics like Buffalo and Mango Habanero. Some recommend trying their dry rubs too.
Atmosphere:
- Sports bar: Over 40 TVs throughout the restaurant ensure you won’t miss any action. It’s a great place to catch a game with friends.
- Bar and lounge: They have a full bar with beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Casual vibe: It’s a relaxed and lively atmosphere, making it suitable for groups, families, and solo diners.
Other details:
- OpenTable reservations available.
- Delivery and takeout options.
- Street parking available.
- Wheelchair accessible.
- Full bar and late-night dining.
Things to consider:
- It can get crowded during peak hours and on game days, so reservations or arriving early might be helpful.
- The noise level can be high, especially during sporting events.
Overall, it seems like the Buffalo Wild Wings in White Plains is a good option for casual dining, wings, and watching sports.
