Dog Haus Biergarten in Mohgan Lake, NY

Hot Dogs, about as American as it gets.  I should have checked for apple pie on the menu.

The “Biergarten” in Mohegan Lake though, just takes things to another level.

The Dog Haus is a franchise with almost 100 locations across the USA, and serves some of the greatest dogs you’ll find. They also have a great-looking selection of burgers, burritos, sausages, and appetizers that I’d call nothing but comfort food. In the couple trips I’ve made to the Mohegan Lake location, I haven’t tried the burgers because, well just look…  

How do you not have dogs at the Dog Haus?

Well, here’s the menu(s), anyway:

The Dog Haus in Mohegan Lake does things right.  Service is fast and friendly.  Food is hot and tasty; faces are friendly; the location is easy, and with plentiful free parking.  They have the usual bar games as well as music, sometimes a couple of times a week.

The drink selection gets me, though.  There are about 25 taps, and none of them say, “Coors Light.” This is a great selection of craft beer ranging from Dunkels to Double IPAs.

Dog Haus prides itself on being an all-natural option for your comfort food options.  The below is taken direction from their website. It makes you feel a bit better about having a “hot dog.”

Prices are very competitive as well.  For a smothered, large dog, $9 is a pretty decent price, and $7 for a craft pint is also the going rate. It’s all good.

The Dog Huas Biergarten in Mohegan Lake is highly recommended by yours truly.
