Yeah, let’s just get straight down to it.  When in Rome, do as the Romans…

So much beer.  So many options. Hard decisions were made. Founders IPA was chosen.  I really needed a designated driver on this day, but in the end, I only had the one half-yard glass. 

Why is it a “half-yard” glass?  Here’s the story behind the Yard Glass.  Pretty neat.

The Yard House chain of restaurants prides itself on having the largest selection of beer.  You’d be hard-pressed to find a larger selection of taps anywhere.  The closest I’ve seen is World of Beer, but there isn’t one in Westchester and, otherwise, Ron Blacks, which is pretty impressive.  But regardless, the selection at The Yard House is numerous.  I didn’t count them, but there have to be over 100 taps at this bar.  Just look! It wraps around for the same on the other side!

So this is why you come here. Although the boneless wings are pretty damn good, beer is the game.  Yeah, they have other cocktails and wine, but if you don’t drink beer, you’re just here to eat, but you can do that anywhere.  Check out your beer and drink options…

Other… meaningless drinks…

On this visit, I had boneless wings with my one large beer.  I tried the Whiskey Black Pepper variety.  These were damn good.  They are probably the best boneless wings I’ve found.  They tasted fresh and not out of a freezer like most other places. Kudos.

The rest of the somewhat overwhelming food menu from the Yard House.  I need to get back for dinner.  Maybe I’ll treat my Uber driver!

The Yard House can get busy, but it’s pretty big.  There is plenty of parking in the Ridge Hill Mall parking lots, but you’ll pay. The joint was jumping at this time, around 6:30 on a Friday night.  

There’s a lot of other great stuff to do at the Ridge Hill Mall if you haven’t been.  Mini-golf, shopping, movies, etc., etc.

You see the happy hour menu above.  It’s pretty impressive for food and drink specials.  There’s a great late-night happy hour as well.  They also boast having 20 TVs to watch the games.  So, I’m sure your team is on here somewhere.  I wouldn’t really call it a sports bar.  It would be great if they did have a section with one giant screen.  I guess that’s what B-Dubs is for (that review is coming soon).  

The Yard House impresses me.  If you’re not specifically looking for the small, neighborhood pub experience and do like beer.  You have to visit.  Get someone to drive you and sample a dozen from their amazing selection!
