Irvington
One home to Wecquaesgeek, an Indigenous people of the Wappinger Tribes, Irvington is now home to Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Douglas/Zeta-Jones clan has a 12,000-square-foot house and a 12-acre garden. So maybe that tells you a little bit about this suburb.
Irvington is right on the Hudson River with some awesome, yet distant views of the GW Bridge and NYC looking south and the Tappan Zee looking north. Main Street in Irvington is a wonderful strip with some great shops and restaurants.
There aren’t a lot of bars, but they do range from high-end to small, slightly above dive-type spots. Like most towns in my experience. Take a walk up and down Main Street NY suburbia with me, won’t you?
